We are pleased to announce that Babson College Police voted this past week to unionize, with a vast majority of the 22 eligible members voting in favor of union representation.
As a result of this historic vote, Babson College Patrol Officers, Patrol Sergeants, Detectives, and Community Service Officers will now become members of the Babson College Police Union – American Coalition of Public Safety (ACOPS) Local #29.
This is an important milestone for both the Babson College Police Department and the American Coalition of Public Safety. The strong vote demonstrates the desire of public safety professionals to have a collective voice in their workplace and to work together to improve wages, benefits, working conditions, and professional standards.
With the addition of Babson College, ACOPS continues to grow its presence among campus law enforcement and public safety professionals throughout Massachusetts.
Please join us in welcoming our newest ACOPS members from Babson College and congratulating them on their decision to stand together as a union.
