Another great CBA settled by ACOPS. ACOPS Local 5, Stonehill College Police Department Association, successfully ratified their new CBA. ACOPS Local 5 held out for a much needed detail rate increase of $45. Great work and congratulations.
Congratulations to ACOPS Local 15, University of Circle, Ohio, on rafiying a new CBA. President James McGowan reports that this negotaitions only took a few sessions and the membership received a very comprehensive wage package and benefits.
Congratulations to ACOPS Local 13, Emerson College Police Association, on successfully ratifying another great CBA. ACOPS Local 13 was able to bargain a 12% to 29% pay increase for 4 years for the membership that include major step increases, specialty pay and differentials. Some the new incentives some members will receive up to a 29% pay increase at the end of the 4 years.
After a long battle, ACOPS Local 17 BU Sergeants, have reached a very succesful agreement with their employer for their first Collective Bargaining Agreement. Great work by Attorney Alan McDonald and ACOPS Local 17 President Larry Cuzzi and Vice President Jeff Burke. When negotiations stalled and the employer refused to bargain fairly a Federal Mediator was brought in.
On January 29, 2017 the ACOPS Executive Committee and the ACOPS Executive Board held their Semi-Annual meeting at the Boston Marriott (Quincy) and made major changes to the organization. The following are the changes made at the January meeting and recent ACOPS Executive Committte changes.
